Plot "Without"
On a remote wooded island, a young woman becomes the guardian of a vegetative old man. Her isolated daily life turns into a struggle with sex, guilt and loss. Joslin is a young woman fresh out of high school and working as an elder care provider on a rural island. She is tasked with caring for the house and taking care of the basic needs of Frank (Ron Kelly), a mostly vegetative man, in the absence of his family. The routine gradually becomes boring, which begins to unravel Jocelyn's fragile emotional state. With no Internet and no cell phone, she rolls alone, oscillating back and forth between her intimacy with Frank and her fear of him.
